David, a New Hampshire native and an accomplished entrepreneur, built a successful career in electronics and software before turning his attention to giving back. Together, he and Virginia dedicated themselves to causes that aligned with their values, investing in education, healthcare, and social services to create lasting change.

Chuck and Lynne Stamey were first introduced to Academy Prep in 2007, shortly after moving to St. Petersburg. A mutual friend, Lynda Jollay, invited Lynne for a campus visit and that one visit sparked a lasting connection. Lynne quickly got involved. Using her skills as a Registered Dietitian, she modified the school’s lunch program and created a campus wide health and wellness program. She came to know and love the students through her hands on involvment teaching healthy cooking classes and organic gardening.
